A modern style, with vanilla and toast elements embracing plum, leather, soy and tar flavors. Has grip, but also an overall equilibrium and a lingering, savory aftertaste. Closed up now, but reveals a sweet fruit core. Best from 2021 through 2036. 600 cases made.
The 2013 Barolo Enrico VI is a dark and opulent expression of Nebbiolo with a soft and contemporary approach. The wine is redolent of black cherry, dried raspberry, grilled herb, smoke and tar. Each aroma peels back in a thick and succulent layer. The quality of fruit offered here is frank and generous. Although the wine will certainly benefit from a long bottle evolution, it also shows immediate qualities for medium-term drinking.
