The 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto San Marcellino is a dark, brooding wine. Black cherry, leather, smoke, incense and tobacco add to an impression of gravitas and pure power. This is an especially somber, virile edition of the San Marcellino. Give it a few years to soften. (AG)
